When you do your shopping this week please keep in mind the Foodbank – helping people in times of crisis

The Foodbank provides local people with necessities, not luxuries. It allows people to collect the basic necessities they need to live.

This week 24th April:

I hope that you and your loved ones continue to be well and healthy.

It has been another busy week, and it’s still only Thursday.

We have weighed and sorted food, packed food parcels and made as many if not more deliveries than last week. It has been busy, very busy. Whether working from home , in the office , in the warehouse or delivering food, everybody is working hard to ensure we continue to support those people in need.

Many people are no longer going to the shops so are unable to ‘pop a tin in the collection bin’. However they are coming up with innovative ideas to continue supporting us, street food collections , being just one of them.

For some people making a monetary donation at this time is an easier options. Again our supporters have held virtual quiz nights and other such events to raise funds.

However you choose to support us please know that we really appreciate your efforts. As always we really couldn’t do it without you.

Food donations continue to come and our wish list is as follows -

Hand gel sanitizer

Men’s deodorant

Adult toothbrushes

Instant mash

Shower gel

Shampoo

Powdered milk

Tinned vegetables - not sweetcorn

Tinned meat

Sugar 500g

Washing up liquid
