When you do your shopping this week please keep in mind the Foodbank  helping people in times of crisis

The Foodbank provides local people with necessities, not luxuries. It allows people to collect the necessities they need to live.

We are slowly sorting through the incredible amount of food that was donated via the many Harvest Festivals. We thank you all for your kindness and generosity.

However, never ones for sitting still or taking a break ,it is now time to let you know about our Christmas Appeal.

Each client will receive a Christmas box in the lead up to the festivities. The box will contain seasonal food , a voucher for fresh meat , an energy top up voucher, possibly gift vouchers for shops selling a variety of goods, gifts for each member of the family. The gifts will be wrapped for the adults but unwrapped for the children as this will enable the parents to be involved in organising their own Christmas.

To ensure that we are not overwhelmed with too many presents etc etc, this element has been specifically allocated to various schools in our locality.

It's here! Details of this year's appeal are below. Please only donate items from the following list. WE CAN'T TAKE ANY OTHER ITEMS at the moment due to an overwhelming response from Harvest.

Please make sure your donations are sealed, in date and do not contain alcohol.

No reverse advent boxes please, as we pack all of our clients' boxes individually.

Cut off date is 11 December to give us time to sort and pack your donations.

Items we would like are:

Boxes of biscuits

Tubs/boxes of chocolates

Small/medium Christmas puddings (alcohol-free)

Mince pies (alcohol free)

Yule logs/chocolate swiss rolls

Savoury snacks (twiglets, cheeselets, crisps)
