When you do your shopping this week please keep in mind the Foodbank  helping people in times of crisis

The Foodbank provides local people with necessities, not luxuries. It allows people to collect the necessities they need to live.

I hope that you are all fit and well and looking forward to the festive season.

The response to our Christmas appeal has been amazing and we have been overwhelmed at the generosity of our local community. So much so that we have enough seasonal goodies for all the hampers we will be packing.

The first few hampers were sent out last week, with more this week and then the really big wave next week onwards.

It has been a huge task achieved , not only by the hard work of our packers and delivery teams, but also by the generosity of you, our donors.

In an attempt to give the warehouse staff a little break, and to allow us to concentrate on getting food packed and to clients in time for Christmas, we will close for donations at our warehouse in Ruxley Lane as follows -

Last pre Christmas donations to be dropped off by 1pm on Tuesday 22nd December. We will then not be accepting any donations at our warehouse until 9.30am on Monday 4th January. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL OF OUR PERMANENT COLLECTION BINS IN SUPERMARKETS WLL OPERATE AS USUAL.

This will be the last wish list sent until the new year so it is quite long. These are  items that ,whilst maybe not needed now , will be come January -
