Conquest Art – Group Leader / Group Helpers Needed

We are looking for keen volunteers who would like to work with small groups of people, helping them to create artwork using different methods and skills.

As a Group Leader you will provide guidance and general support to individuals within groups of approximately 10 group members at venues in and aroundSurrey.

The Group Leader sets up the room with art materials and clears away at the end of each session, supported by the Group Helpers.  During the group you can provide help, guidance and artistic ideas if you can. The aim is for an informal and collaborative environment in which to produce the best possible outcome for Group Members.

The Groups are usually two hour sessions during which time the Group Leader/Helpers will encourage the members and take care of their needs and assist where appropriate. The aim of the group is to enable people to express themselves to the best of their ability and gain satisfaction from the work they produce in a convivial environment.

Training in specific painting and drawing techniques for people with disabilities will be given, and first aid training if required.

Art Group Leaders and Helpers are currently needed at our Cheam, West Ewell and Woking Groups.
