The IBIS bookshop in Banstead, established in 1938 has finally closed.

Sadly a valiant effort by supporting to raise funds to keep the shop opened did not work, due to rising rents and on-line bookstores..

The owner Linda Jones, who took over the shop in 2011 is however fighting back.

She’s taking on the Big Boys – Amazon by starting her own mobile service BOOKJUICE.
