Our monthly event opened as always with a cocktail – the delicious canapés were to follow later –they were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious as always.

Nigel then gave a welcome to all, and introduced our new marketing assistant Gillian Nichols. Gillian is a local girl and knows the area very well, and we are sure she will be a great asset to us and our members.

In our Charity Spotlight - Graham Race and Sue Pressey from MERU a local Epsom charity, told us about their work and showed us some of the inventive products they have made for disabled children. We had a demonstration of Bugsy – a chair specialised designed for children as young as 1 to experience mobility.

This was followed by a speed networking session where four groups were formed with each attendee introducing their business, followed by questions from the others in the group.

Our three member spotlights were presented by:

Chig Amin from EPSOM DENTAL CENTRE – who talked about the services his practice offer, and importantly the friendly and relaxed atmosphere they create for their patients.

Robin Adams from PERFECT BLEND VIDEO explained the importance of video in business, and of not making a ‘vanity’ video mistake.

BIG BLUE PRINT owner Kevin Bourke, spoke about the success of his business and their offering of being a One-Stop Print shop – from design through to distribution.

The prizes this month were kindly given by BITE THE DUST, LA-FITNESS and Gill Alexander @ Barrett & Coe.

Nigel then told us about things coming up in the future:

The BUY LOCAL week at The Ashley Centre was a great success, and very notably not just for B2C businesses. In fact accountants, MATTHEWS BUSINESS ASSOCIATES confirmed that have 4 new customers as a result. Following discussions with THE ASHLEY CENTRE Nigel is arranging for this to become a regular feature.

And for next month our An Evening WITH has a change of location.

MERCEDES-BENZ EPSOM have kindly agreed to host the event at their Epsom Showroom – and have donated some great prizes– including A Driving Experience at Mercedes-Benz World – Brooklands.
