We had lots of visitors to our An Evening With event at Chalk Lane Hotel last Wednesday 26th February.
The event was sponsored by Metro Bank Epsom – and they introduced themselves to the local business community as a launch pad for their upcoming store opening on 14th & 15th March.
Hilary Carruthers – the Local Director for Metro Bank introduced the Epsom team and told us about their vision for this new bank in the town.
We also heard about ‘Let’s Turn Epsom PINK’ – also on 15th March. Pauline Banyard of Ladysafe and Sons has arranged for the Fab FAB1 to reside in The Ashley Centre for the day to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Care. They are looking for prizes for the Raffle – so if you would like to donate – please give us a call at thebestofepsomandewell.
We also introduced the winners of this years LOCAL and LOVED Campaign.
Donna Barham from Skyrah Beauty took away the top award of MOST LOVED BUSINESS in Town for the second year running, as well as being placed in the Top 100 Businesses Nationally. Donna is no stranger to awards having been voted the Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 in the Epsom & Ewell Business Excellence Awards.
Chig Amin of Epsom Dental Centre collected awards for Highly Commended Business in Town, and Highly Commended Nationally in the dentists category.
Gill Alexander @ Barrett & Co was a Highly Commended Business inn Town, and Highly Commended Nationally in the photographers category.
Clare Young of Utility Warehouse was Most Loved Business Nationally in the category of utilities.
Jamie Bailey of Go Service Centres was and Highly Commended Nationally in MOT Service Centres category.
Lauren Shine of Rainbow Day Spa was Highly Commended Nationally in the hot tubs and spas category.
Our round-table networking is really working well and is central to the success of the evening.
As always delicious canapés and cocktails were served by the very hospitable Chalk Lane Hotel, and the evening ran beautifully thanks to the work of our events organiser Hannah Hall of the Sunflower Corporation.
We would also like to thank our guest photographer Patrick Kilian of Light in the Black for capturing the evening for us.
