COMPETITION IS SWEET
Hatty’s Sweet Shop in The Ashley Centre has been inundated with entries for their competition to design a brand new Epsom sweet!
A massive 243 people submitted designs for the sweet of their dreams and these have now been sent off to the sweet manufacturers who will confirm which ideas can be made into a sweet. These entries will then go before a judging panel made up of Harriette Coleman, owner of Hatty’s Sweet Shop, The Ashley Centre General Manager David Beddows and What’s On In Epsom website founder Paul Taylor.
Harriette said: “We have been overwhelmed by the inventiveness of people’s ideas and we are hopeful that most of them could practically be made into a sweet. Some of the ideas are so exciting and we can’t wait to pick a winner and see and taste the finished result.”
