David - I wanted to say thanks for such a superb event at the Afton Hotel the other day - the Tweetup with Steve Hewlett (and Arthur Lager etc...) It was brilliant! Steve is a genuinely nice guy, and hilariously funny, a really gifted ventriloquist. Also, the fact that he was there shows the influence 'Thebestof' has now, and is a great testament to you and your business. His latest coup of getting (the rather fantastic) ventriloquist Steve Hewlett to perform at the most recent tweetup shows how he is determined to keep things fresh even after 3 years. It’s always a pleasure to be involved with one of David’s projects and his network and recommendations are a priceless resource for businesses, consumers and community groups throughout the town.

I’ve attended a number of events at the Afton Hotel over the years and have always been impressed with the venue, staff and hospitality. The location is perfect, right by the seafront and pier and with plenty of on-street parking nearby. The bar and function rooms have proved ideal for a variety of activities including presentations, seminars, entertainment and networking over a drink or two. I have recommended the venue to various friends and contacts as ideal to meet all needs.

I have now been involved with 2 functions at The Afton Hotel. I would recommend it as a venue for your function. It's so welcoming, very clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful, and very importantly it has air conditioning which adds so much to the enjoyment. Fab place!
