We told our daughter we were going to somewhere were princesses lived and upon arrival it absolutely took our breath away. The castle is stunning and the gardens are beautiful. We really enjoyed wandering around the gardens imagining what it was like in the olden days and pretending to be royals. Just stunning.

Gardens are fabulous, with lots of hidden gems, and places astounding to behold, the external castle is beautiful, however the guided tour inside was not as good, as many rooms are set up for teaching and the clear use of them for this detracts from the experience. It is very good value for money though and the guide was a wealth of knowledge.

The castle tour and castle itself are very interesting but for me the gardens really sell this place, they are well presented and laid out even down to a wild meadow within the gardens. Was really wonderful to see the bees, many varieties, butterflies and other nectar collectors happily flying between the plants, flowers and trees.
