Hadn't been to the Congress in donkey's years! It hasn't changed much, it's in good nick. Everything is clean, including the toilets. Bar prices are expectedly steep. People don't really dress up anymore do they, for a night out like this..<br>We saw the Nutcracker Suite ballett, the music and orchestra were exquisite, the performance was good but I must admit I've seen better choreographies. We were quite close to the action, 4th row, you can hear the squeeking and landing of the feet, which takes away a little of the magic, I'd go further back next time to have a better overall view.

Saw Michael McIntyre at The Congress Theatre a few weeks ago. He was brilliant as expected. The theatre is great too. Much better than going to a huge stadium type venue (I will never go to the O2 again).<br><br>The seating is comfortable and because it's not a large theatre you're pretty much guaranteed a good view from any seat.<br><br>The staff are brilliant - very helpful and always smiling!<br><br>The Congress and The Devonshire are lovely theatres and the bonus is they're at the seaside. I thoroughly recommend Eastbourne and both theatres.
