This is a great friendly pub, the staff are very accommodating helped a large family gathering to be able to sit together with out giving them any notice.

My friends and I love it here because everyone is so welcoming and the service is great. I have never waited more than two minutes to be served and it’s always with a smile. It can be mixed aged groups depending on the band that’s on an evening but it really makes no difference. The friendly nature of staff and locals, make the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming and if your a total stranger, it will not belong before your not. Oh and I hear food is great. They have a venue room upstairs that has its own bar and toilets. The owners work hard with the local community and are often involved in community events, helping in what ever way they can. A wholesome family/community pub

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food we had as a family was amazing. We even had pudding and that was also lovely, we have only been here a couple of days on our holiday, and out of all the places we have eaten so far, The Crown & Anchor was the best food we have had, we will definitely be back in the near future.
