If you're looking for a Sunday roast that hits all the right notes, look no further than the Anchor & Crown. We came in expecting a decent pub lunch, we left genuinely impressed and fully satisfied. The roast beef was the star of the show: tender, beautifully cooked and sliced generously. The roast potatoes were perfectly done: crunchy on the outside, fluffy inside and seasoned just right. The accompanying mash was smooth and creamy, and the seasonal veg still had bite. There was not a soggy carrot in sight. Everything was brought together with a rich, savory gravy. Portion size? Generous. Price? Incredibly fair for the quality. Service was friendly and efficient, with food arriving promptly even during the Sunday rush. The cozy, classic pub atmosphere only added to the charm. This wasn’t just a meal. It was a proper Sunday tradition, done right. Highly recommend. ✨

Spent NYE here. Great atmosphere, very welcoming. Also came here on New Years Day and had a meal. The young bar staff were friendly and on the ball and the food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend 😊

Since starting with Walfinch, the difference in my wellbeing has been incredible. I can actually see the shape of my legs again — and even my toes! That alone shows how much progress has been made with the right level of care and support.
The support I receive fully meets my needs, and I feel very satisfied with every visit. Everything is always completed properly and nothing is ever missed. My carer is efficient, knowledgeable, and consistently arrives on time. They are respectful, protect my dignity at all times, and truly care about doing a thorough job.
This is the type of carer I had hoped for — unlike my previous care company, who often felt like they were just here to complete tasks and leave.
I would give 5 stars for the service provided by Walfinch, 5 stars for communication with the office, and 5 stars for the politeness and professionalism of both the office team and my carer.
The care I receive has made both me and my husband, John, feel so much calmer. Any changes are always clearly explained and communicated in a kind and reassuring way. We couldn’t be happier with the support we now receive.

Classic old school theatre. Lucky to still have such little pockets of history. Very helpful staff who were volunteers. Clean toilets and a reasonable price bar.
