Been waiting years to go to the Royal Hippodrome Theatre, Eastbourne and was not disappointed. Greeted by friendly staff and when entering the stalls the feel was delightful. Chairs very comfortable, view excellent and the atmosphere it generates is wonderful. Thoroughly recommend and thank you for making it an unforgettable evening.

This is a theatre full of character. It is clear that they are working hard to fully renovate this theatre. The staff were volunteers and they were really friendly and were genuinely grateful that we were there as customers. The seats are spacious and there is plenty of legroom. We were in the Dress Circle (A3 and A4) and had a great view. Overall, a lovely place to visit.... and The Drifters were great.

The past few years have seen this beautiful theatre gradually being brought back to life by an amazing team of dedicated people. It's a work in progress which makes it even more interesting to visit! Some great and varied offerings throughout the year, great ticket prices! Comfy seats with good legroom and views, just a lovely atmospheric place to be. Lovely staff.

Have visited here on many occasions. We particularly like watching some great comedians. We love this very old building and it's nice to see so many volunteers giving their time to keep it going.

We always visit the Hippodrome Theatre when holidaying in Eastbourne. Highlights include the resident musical show which runs throughout the summer season and the British Music Hall Society's annual 'Day By The Sea' festival of entertainment.

Came here to watch the Pink Floyd live show which was excellent. A good old fashioned theatre which has plenty of character. Its very small, clean, comfy seats and the staff are very friendly who were all volunteers. I like this theatre better than the newly refurbished Congress Theatre.
I say this theatre is similar to Theatre Royal, Brighton and hope to come here again in the future.

Dates back to 1883 this lovely old building has just had a make over and been brought back to its former glory. This year there have been so many excellent productions. Back stage tours are interesting and informative

Went to see this show with my mum and absolutely loved it
The four guys were fab especially the Compere he was just brilliant , so funny but they were all amazing singers who would be well appreciated in the West end
Also the dancers were all great too and the kids were also brilliant
Loved this show from start to finish id definately recommend you go see it if you visit Eastbourne

This lovely theatre has been restored and appears to be run by some very devoted and enthusiastic people. We saw their 2019 summer show, "Viva Variety" which we enjoyed very much. The multi-talented cast were brilliant & we had a marvelous evening. I would recommend this theatre and its productions to anyone wanting first class entertainment in superb & evocative surroundings.

I have just finished a shift as Duty Manager for the Viva Variety show.
As the guests were leaving they all commented on how good the show is and one lady in particular called to to one side. She explained that she has been on many cruise ships and the entertainment she experienced at our theatre was far superior to anything she had seen on the cruises. She said the acts were first class and the 4 men in particular should be on Britain’s got Talent. She was amazed that all the “stars” of the show are working people who have day jobs and do this show every Wednesday.
Great to receive amazing feedback. She asked me to post this as she wasn’t sure about the internet or trip advisor and I was happy to oblige.
