Lovely evening in Eastbourne. Charlie was our waiter and he made sure he did everything he could during our two hours here. He even brought a treat and water for our dog Charlie. Great service with a Smile.
The only thing I would say is there were no salad options on the menu, and the dessert menu was a bit limited. 🏳️🌈

The food is extremely tasty. I had my best Sunday roast in this pub - ever. Not too heavy, very satisfying and full of flavour.
Friendly and attentive staff. They will take their time with you and your order, even when they are busy.Due to the current Covid-19 situation, they had to install screens between individual tables and at the bar. However - unlike at other pubs - the screens don't interfere with the overall decoration of the pub. In fact they have been designed to blend in, so that you don't even realise they are there because of Covid. It has been nice to visit this pub and forget about the whole Covid situation for a while. In other pubs the screens are cheap and they remind you of the virus. In this pub the handled it with taste. The decoration (including the screens) looks really pretty and gives the pub a homey feeling.
They have got a great selection of drinks and are willing to mix you a cocktail if you ask them. Brilliant place, I had such a great time there. If/when I visit Eastbourne again, I will definitely visit The Crown & Anchor.They also offer a great choice of vegetarian and vegan meals.
If you can't finish your meal, you can take it away with you. They offer environmentally friendly packaging (something that I find very important) and biodegradable cutlery.

Had a great dinner here a few days ago. Good choice, great quality and service was spot on. Also really appreciated how focused the team were on Covid safety too. Highly recommend.

Myself and my wife Susan were recently in Eastbourne for a few days and came across the crown and anchor. We initially called in for a drink , covid 19 measures in place were good , but on seeing the food ended up having a meal . We were not disappointed the food was excellent as was the service and the staff . Although we did not eat there again we called in on 2 / 3 more occasions because of the good service we received . When next in Eastbourne will be sure to revisit this lovely pub.

This is my 3rd visit to this pub when visiting Eastbourne. To be honest I don't have a lot to compare it to because it was so good that we kept coming back. Lovely staff and a great simple, but excellent food menu. I'm vegetarian and rarely find a menu that caters for me. They have a good selection of tasty vegetarian/vegan burgers and other veggie choices that aren't the usual mushed vegetable or goats cheese offerings of other restaurants that are trying to be clever. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff make it a great place for an evening out

We've been in The Anchor and Crown today for a lunch and some drinks.
Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Food is absolutely outstanding! Next time if we'll be in Eastbourne we gonna come back.

I spent a long weekend in Eastbourne and had booked the C&A for my Friday Fish & Chips. Well covered to check in guests, hand sanitiser and staff operating tracking. As I had booked I got in easily and also was offered another table as did not fancy the sports bar. Excellent service by a young lady upstairs and had the amazing vegan torte!
Had breakfast on Saturday, full on. Staff again busy but attentive and were up for a quick chat. Back on Sunday for more tempura and the wonderful chocolate torte as above.
A popular place especially for Sunday lunch so do book.
