First time to this theatre today and on first impressions it looks pretty grotty from the outside but inside it's a treat. Lovely small theatre with everything you need. Clean and comfortable with lots of booster seats available to everyone with little ones.
Show was great and it was particularly nice that the characters came out in the interval for photographs with the children.
Really lovely and helpful staff. We will look at what's on to come again.

Our first ever visit to this theatre and what a show! very good, the stars of the show came out to meet and greet the audience, so much fun. The staff were helpful and polite. We will be visiting again.

My 5 year old loved everything about this show, especially meeting all of the characters for photo's in the interval? The Hippodrome is a lovely child friendly theatre with very welcoming people working throughout.

We had a fabulous afternoon seeing Madagascar. Great performers, especially when they mingle with the audience as it brings it all to life.
4 year old was beside himself with happiness ! And 7 year old girl smiling all through it.

Just returned from a fun filled couple of hours watching Madagascar. It was fantastic. From start to finish it had you smiling and at the end, on your feet dancing. Definitely recommend.

Great show loved by all ages, brilliant seats and my 4 year old was even given a booster seat to make sure he got the best view. Would definitely recommend show and theatre

I've taken the kids to the RHT a few times now and it's always the same: the actors are (not so) happy amateurs - not always very "into" it - and the (sound and technical) production quite poor. The kids however, love watching fun things on stage and, because I go for their sake, it's all OK.
