We were visiting Eastbourne and hubbie wanted to find a pub showing spurs v arsenal. What a lovely place - stone wall, xmas decs , good food and a real buzz. Live music some evenings, darts, pool etc.

Dropped in here a few times during our stay and were treated like regulars by all the staff we came into contact with. Good beer at a reasonable price and although we never ate here the food we did see looked extremely good.

This place is a real asset to the area with genuinely friendly staff, great decor, amazing food and a class clientele. It has regular entertainment planned and shows all the important games on multiple tvs. Can't wait to go back.

I read the great reviews and so my expectations were high - and I was so impressed! Home cooked meal away from home. 3 generations sat and had a beautiful roast dinner with seriously good gravy - and gravy makes the roast! Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, Ollie and team; super lovely Sunday lunch. This was the best roast dinner I have ever had out, and I’ve tried a lot of places! I’ll definitely be back, with the family again! Thank you all the various staff in the pub, including the people who made the lovely food, and thank you the people who left the fab reviews that made me check this place out!

Had one of the of the best nights ever.the food was amazing and olly the manger was fablous he made us feel very welcome and looked after us all evening.the live band were amazing .so really worth a visit

We went to the Crown & Anchor last night for their raffle night. It had a great, lively, atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I have to say that, despite not winning anything, the raffle was excellent! The prizes were great and it was well organised. The wine was nice (Malbec especially) and the food was quite good. In fact the only disappointment was that, with our "ham, egg & chips" we were expecting a couple of nice, thick, slices of ham off the bone - instead we had two very thin slices that had the appearance of coming out of a packet. If they were off the bone, it was a very skinny, mean portion indeed. Apart from that we had a great night. Thank you.

After having seen good reviews, we decided to give it a go
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was lovely, my husband had a full english breakfast, good quality, well presented and delicious (i sampled some of the sausage as it looked irresistible and it tasted as good as it looked)I had the homemade maccaroni cheese, which was very good and very cheesy
We look forward to returning and sampling more of their menu
