Deadbolt to leave the room jammed and I could not exit. Attempted to call front desk and realized there was no phone in room. Finally made it out and all hotel did was move my room, no offer of an upgrade of compensation. Checked out a day early and they still charged the full stay.

Hotel is a little tired decoration wise so not for somebody who wants something spotless and right up to date. . But for us the room was nice and clean the staff were top notch and really helpful. Breakfast was good. We had a superior sea view room overlooking the pier all at a real bargain price. It’s an older hotel full of charm and for us it ticked every box would happily stay again.

The rooms at the rear of the hotel are cheaper but are very dated and abit dingy, and the seating in the bar have seen better days

Very good value. The room was clean, large tv, coffee/tea/milk in the room was a welcome sight on arrival. Staff very helpful and courteous. The hotel is nearby to the pedestrian precinct which leads into the main shopping area and The Beacon Shopping Centre. Devonshire Park and the Theatre area a short walk away.
