There were 21 of us heading to the Crown after a 3 hour walk up Beachy Head. They sweetly were happy to seat us and feed us even after the kitchen technically stopped serving lunch at 3pm, we got there at 4pm.
The food was very hearty and tasty - just what was needed!The staff couldn't have been more accommodating.
Thank you very much for taking such good care of a bunch of tired walkers!

This is my latest visit to this wonderful establishment on Eastbourne seafront and I felt it was a nice evening to be there.
The licensee and staff were very professional in the way they did their jobs and helped make the atmosphere a truly marvellous one.
The karaoke was also a fabulous feature in the pub on that magical evening.
I will definitely return to this pub again in the near future.

Went here recently with friends to see a ska band and thought we would grab a meal as well. Every person in our group of seven said it was one of the best meals they had in a pub for value and taste. The band were brilliant as well and no waiting for drinks at the very busy bar due to lots of dancing staff !

We did not eat in here we went in to watch the rugby as our hotel was not showing it and as it was on early don't think they where serving food. Although we went back in the evening for a drink on the way to cosmo for dinner and saw people eating and wished we had of gone there to eat as well

My family and I recently spent a weekend in Eastbourne and came across the Crown & Anchor directly next to our hotel. We had our dog with us so were delighted to find a dog friendly pub so close by on the seafront. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced and it was great to be able to have restaurant food as well as be able to take the pooch along without having to shut him in the room. There was entertainment every night and the staff were friendly and welcoming, we felt like locals by the time we left. Eastbourne and the Crown and Anchor has restored our faith in the Great British seaside and we will definitely be returning. Thanks to all the C&A staff :) x

This is a great pub. We had our little dog with us so it was good to find somewhere that took dogs. We didn't eat there although the food looked good. Staff were really friendly. The entertainment in the evening was good too. We will definitely go back.

Great selection of food available, drink and food good value. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great for an afternoon beer or an evening out. Entertainment on most nights as well. Only criticism is not enough outside space...Get there early!!
