2018
Two minutes walk from the hotel my family and myself were staying at, I had read the positive reviews and thought why not.
The waitresses were super helpful and friendly, the food was good and the real ale was great
We was allowed to stay till 9pm with my nine year old daughter, we had a lovely evening

5 years later, I can't remember if it was a Greene King pub back when first visited, but this must be the flag ship of the chain, because the food and drink is nothing like a Greene King pub I've ever visited. The food and drink is just as good as I remember it the first time

Sadly the food wasn't as good as previous visits, really disappointed as I've always looked forward to coming back

This vibrant and popular traditional pub is one of Eastbourne's most iconic venues for dining, live entertainment, and sports entertainment. Without question, the food us excellent and varied. Whether you're a seeker of traditional fayre, ranging from roast dinners to delectable dishes, such as the Crown's ribs, or a committed vegan, the Crown's menu is varied enough to appeal to all tastes. And little people are certainly not forgotten. There's a creative menu for all age ranges.
There's even a detailed spirits menu reflective of the professional team at the Crown. Located on Eastbourne's iconic seafront the Crown and Anchor is a must-visit location. Keep in mind that on certain sports nights the Crown can be quite lively, but always in good fun. There's never a problem with guests behaving. Without doubt, the professional staff are well respected and the message is clear and upheld by staff and guests alike - scallywags and ne'er-do-wells are not welcome!
