Our first night in Eastbourne we went to The Crown and Anchor in search of food! My husband was over the moon with the Steak and Ale pie and the chilli in my jacket potato was delicious. The Old Speckled Hen beer was a bonus. Would definitely recommend.

We came to this lovely pub to watch the football wonderful staff Kat was delightful. We had a meal one night excellent and used this pub as our Local while staying in Eastbourne.

We booked a table here and the staff were very friendly but sorry to say the food was awful my halloumi burger had been fried and was vey greasy and my partner had scampi which was watery and hard peas !!! Shame as the staff were lovely and the drinks were food value just let down by the food

Fabulous home cooked food, friendly staff, great location and clean facilities.

We’ve been here a few times now and we like the place. The staff work together as a team, they are efficient and friendly. The food on offer is great for Vegans with a whole page of selections on the menu. My particular favourite is the Spicy Vegan Chilli. It tastes great and you get a bowl of Vegan-cheesy nachos on the side, plus some home made Guac. The pub is dog friendly, and the clientele are people friendly 😁. Give it a try.

Enjoyed this pub so much. during the day the food was really nice and liked that it had a constant flow of people in and out. music each night we were there was fab. Glam Rox and two brothers proper pup music and fantastic atmosphere

Five star service…above and beyond, as always!
Having been ill for the past few days and not feeling like cooking, I decided to order food from my favourite pub/restaurant. I ordered through Just Eat but despite my order status saying delivered, my order did not arrive.
I emailed Just Eat but no reply.
I called the pub and the very polite Lady told me that Just Eat were responsible but that she would deliver my order herself, which she did. I also received a call from the owner, Heidi, who was lovely, as always and apologised, even though it wasn’t her fault.
Being vegan, I really appreciate the lovely menu and the vegan wine, which is always served with a friendly smile, plus a dog biscuit for my little dog.
This is a great establishment, for many reasons and I highly recommend it.
