Dropped in on the pub during a holiday in eastbourne. We were greeted by very efficient staff at the door and made to feel super safe as all customers are shown to socially distanced tables. The drinks were a good price and the atmosphere is warm and friendly , nice place for an evening drink

Had a weekend in Eastbourne and the Crown & Anchor was near our hotel, our visit was in August 2020 and the set up for social distancing was extremely well organised, the staff were very well briefed and despite the unusual circumstances they made the visit a pleasurable one. We returned again the second day and will definitely visit when next in town.

From the controlled entrance, one way system, socially distanced tables and perspex screened off bar, I've not yet seen a pub more adapted to thrive post covid. Good choice of beers, sky sports on the tv and friendly staff.

We visited in early August and had something to eat here before getting our train back to London.
The social distancing measures in place are very well thought out and clearly explained.
The food was really very good. I had the halloumi burger and it was truly delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a nice sunny weekend when we visited so we sat outside.

Come on a Saturday night for a few drinks before going back to hotel. Lovely atmosphere. Really nice staff. Charlie and honor were really attentive and friendly. We booked a table for Sunday night.

Saw this pub as we were walking along the sea front just to the east of the pier. Gets busy, plenty of outside seating and very good selection of beers, wines, and varied food menus. This was our third time and not disappointed. Friendly staff, welcoming. Good value.
