Stayed 3 nights on a coach trip from Hull so I wasn't expecting luxury (you get what you pay for). Yes, the hotel is dated and looking tired, but our room was clean and tidied up daily. The staff were all great, so not sure about some of the recent reviews. Meals were good for a coach holiday. Breakfast was a bit of a let down as the buffet area was tiny for such a lot of guests, so the food kept running out. I've scored it down for the lift being out of order. 2 lifts for a place this size is crazy especially with one down. It must have been out of service for a while looking at reviews. I kept letting the older people go before me as I felt I had to being younger. (Even though I had a stroke so my legs aren't very strong.) I would book again though and hopefully the lift would be fixed

Late booking & had a slight issue upon arrival. The manager was very apologetic & the issue was resolved very quickly. We ended up staying another night. The weather wasn’t kind but the sea view was lovely. Breakfast was much calmer and nicer on the Monday morning. Bar staff were very friendly & helpful. Reception staff polite and friendly too. Ended up being a very pleasant stay. Very dog friendly. Would return again. But would always go for a sea view if possible. The hotel is very old but there is something about it that makes it worth a visit.

We booked the deal of overnight stay with dinner and breakfast £205.
We arrived at 4pm and was a little shocked to be told that dinner was only served between 6-7pm which was a bit of a rush as our friends hadn't arrived at the hotel yet.
Our room was clean with a comfortable bed although the bathroom was on the snug side with the toilet quite close to the shower.
Dinner was nothing fancy, the food wasn't pipping hot but edible.
The breakfast was plentiful, with lots of selection to choose from such as toast, cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt with also a cooked full English, again the cooked breakfast not hot but edible.
Unfortunately the hotel has seen much better days, it is in desperate need of repair or a whole new refurbishment, as on our floor we had a leak resulting in the ceiling falling down with water still leaking on the floor and the same in the dining room.
To be honest I will say the staff made this hotel. They were extremely polite, friendly and accommodating.
Unfortunately due to the hotel's need of repair and overall looking extremely tired we wouldn't be retuning.

Despite the road closures due to the air show, we found the car park at the rear of the hotel. Plenty of spaces and access via the backdoor. Remember to give your registration to reception on arrival.
Check in was quick, the gentleman was very pleasant and helpful, finding us rooms close to each other.
The room 2nd floor (only 1 lift working) wasn't overly big, but it was adequate. It was clean with enough drawer and wardrobe space for our 4 night break.
Beds were comfortable with immaculate white bedding. There was a second pillow available. Curtains were good at blocking the light.
The view from the room wasn't great, looking on to the fire escape at the back. The window in the room didn't open which made it very hot/humid, however there was a fan.
The bathroom was relatively small but did have a shower cubicle as we requested, unfortunately there was no window again meaning it was quite hot in there.
There tea/coffee facilities, telephone and flat screen TV.
There's plenty of communal seating areas, 2 bars and a large restaurant. Entertainment is provided 3 nights per week (Tues, Thurs, Sat).
Breakfast: a good selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and cooked breakfast - all buffet.
Evening meals: pre-order at breakfast. Always a choice of 4 starters, 4 mains (including at least 1 fish and 1 vegetarian option) and 4 desserts. Staff in the restaurant are very good, considering the amount of people eating they are efficient and try their hardest. The lady on the welcome desk is very pleasant and keeps things running well.
Considering what we paid to visit during mid-August and the great seafront location we cannot really fault this hotel. The best asset to this hotel is the staff, all of them were great but a particular thanks for Sarah (reception). Sarah went well above and beyond to make our stay as easy and comfortable as possible.
This was our 2nd visit to the Burlington, previously stayed pre-pandemic. Due to the great staff and location, we will visit again.

I must be honest as I read reviews and use them to makes decisions , plus side the staff are lovely and helpful , the bed was clean and we had a great nights sleep , shower was hot 🔥. This hotel is a grand old girl but very tired looking and kinda stuck in the 60/70s . There was mold around the bath taps and the floor could have done with a good clean in the bathroom . We went for the 3 course meal in the evening and I'm afraid it was disappointing even though it was 20 quid . The lift was broken at times causing a backlog of elderly customers battling the stairs . We had a weird smell in our room not sure how to describe it really . Anyway the staff where very nice even though they are up against it here . Someone needs to inject some money onto this old girl before she dies :( ☹. It done us for 1 night after the airshow so thats my balanced review . Good luck for the future guys .

Had a superior sea view room number 113 first floor. Very very surprised after reading negative reviews. Wonderful very big clean and airy room bed was lovely as were the towels and pillows all spotlessly clean and crisp. Bar and reception staff knowledgeable and friendly and very polite.
Also great entertainment in the evening. Parking was no problem at all plenty of spaces just behind the hotel. Will definately stay again Thankyou all at the Burlington 5 stars.

My wife and I stayed in room 320 for our anniversary which is a superior Seaview room. The room was very clean and spacious with wonderful views of the sea front, pier and down toward the Eastbourne wheel . We were on a half board package which included dinner and breakfast, both of which were absolutely delicious and we did not go away hungry.
All of the staff were extremely friendly, and made our stay one to remember. Thank you to everyone.

We were looking to book something for the bank holiday weekend , I found this hotel available, but having read the reviews, I said to my partner I did not like the sound of this hotel, but we booked it on her say so.. and have to say what an excellent experience, room was lovely, food was great, location couldn't of been any better, staff were fantastic and great value for money, would I use this hotel again.. Absolutely.
The hotel is a little dated, but what more can you expect from an old building,
I rate this on value for money 9/10

Well what can we say, yes the hotel is a little tired & could do with updating but for the price it was perfectly acceptable. Our room was big as was our bathroom, it was clean & the towels were just perfect. TV, hairdryer, dressing table, wardrobe & a table & 2 chairs. The floors are wonky which you expect in an old building & gave me & mum a few laughs while we were there! The staff were beyond helpful, so friendly & really couldn't do enough for you, we can't compliment them enough, just sorry we didn't get to say bye to Danielle when we left but she was busy (as always) Matt went out of his way to help us, finding out all the details of Airbourne & the Chinnock for me & we all got on like a house on fire, the reception staff were also really helpful, answering any questions I had. There was entertainment every other night which we weren't expecting so that was an added bonus, the food was great (would've preferred fried eggs for breakfast instead of scrambled but hey) the restaurant staff were brilliant, nothing was too much... Infact we didn't want to come home we were having such a great time.
Thank you everyone for making our stay thoroughly enjoyable. We'll see you next year 🥰

We felt as if we were in our second home because the staff were super friendly, hospitable and professional. Thank you for showing us love, especially from these individuals: Michelle & Jay (small) (Management), Scott and Victoria (Housekeeping), Finn & Rachel (Front-end), Paris & Bea (Waitress), and Rickie (Nightwatchman). JESUS loves you!
