just had a two day break at the Burlington this is the third time we have stayed hear and each time the service was a1. staff very helpful and nothing to much trouble.our waiter this time was carlos one man serving so many people at once must be stressful but he coped no problem. the only one niggle was the entertainment was the same acts as the last two visits apart from that everything was fine. we had a sea view again and its worth the upgrade .room service was good .for all the moaners about the hotel try staying at the ritz or the savoy in London at three hundred pounds a night and then you will realise what good value shearings are so the paint and décor are a bit tired in places and the floorboards creek instead of moaning just check out and stay some were else problem solved

This is our second tinsel and turkey weekend at this hotel within the last couple of years
Things haven't changed a lot,the format of the event was very similar as before
The food was adequate but could have been hotter
The staff are all very friendly and accommodating and the entertainment was' OK '
The resident DJ/comic has been there a number of years but is still good for a laugh and is extremely friendly,WELL DONE Mark Snow
The hotel itself is clean and comfortable but shows signs of age in places
For the price paid it represented good value for money

This hotel needs refurbishment in various areas. However we had a very nice room. Quiet and spacious with a newly refurbished bathroom. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere
of the place the same. The evening entertainment with Marc as the compere most evenings
was good. All four of us in our party came away from the Hotel saying how much we had enjoyed our stay and that we would go back again. The position of the hotel was just opposite the beach and the sea view rooms were excellent. We had the choice of trips out in Shearings coach or a nice walk along the front. At lunchtime we did not think much of their light meals/sandwiches and so we opted to go out for lunch. This was great we had such a choice
of restaurants to suit all pockets.

Having paid about £119 for the weekend with food included did not expect to much but turned in to a great weekend away. Hotel was up to standard rooms clean food was ok but if you want to eat in 5 star restaurants you need to pay 5 star prices staff topnotch very special mention for Mark Snow who made the weekend for us will be going back just to see him. Very small down side was the room was very hot all night making sleep a little hard but the night porter was a very nice guy who let me out to smoke and made me a few coffees thanks.

Overall the experience was average but could have easily been rated very good or higher but let down by the bar running out of staple drinks and glasses due to the poor service. We had a number of room, some of which were in reasonable decorative order whilst other were sorely in need of a bit of tlc. The food was good and the restaurant service excellent. Considering the price paid the expectations were not that high and overall the stay was good value for money. Pity that small details affected the overall rating

We have stayed at the Burlington several times over the years. Why do we keep on going back? One very simple reason! All the staff are so welcoming and helpful. At the price, there can be nowhere in town that is better value. The majority of the bedrooms have now been refurbished as part of an ongoing programme. All are very clean and comfortable with all the facilites of, at the very least, a 3 Star hotel, e.g. flat screen tv, tea/coffee making facilites, hair drier and phone etc. Wifi is free but only available in the lounges downstairs. The quality of meals has always been very good but is now even better. We could fault nothing whatsoever with the six different main courses that we enjoyed during our stay, the lasagne, the roast turkey, pork and beef, or the liver and the steak and kidney pudding. All six were delicious, hot, and cooked to perfection. Congratulations to chef and his team - no mean achievement with such high numbers all eating at once. In fact, quite amazing! Reception, bar staff, waiters and waitresses, even the chambermaids were always smiling and clearly happy in their work. We shall be back yet again for sure. In 3 little words . . . "Value for money".

Just returned for the second time at the Burlington. Great room 313 sea view overlooking pier, staff are very friendly and welcoming ,rooms are clean,a few squeaky floor boards ,but not a problem. All meals very nice with usually 3 choices for starter main and sweet courses.every night entertainment including quiz bingo, and Cabaret. Turkey and tinsel even better value includes glass of mulled wine on arrival, coffee and mince pies after, included excursion and a free glass of wine.the drinks are expensive but all in all really great value for money.we will be back again in the new year for definite.
