Hotel has seen better days but we had a decent stay & largely enjoyed our time there.
Decent size room with a sea view & breakfast for £100. It is not worth paying more though in my opinion. Breakfast was good with enough choice & decent coffee. Staff were polite & helpful. Location is excellent right on the sea front virtually opposite the pier. Lounge bar was very smart & inviting.
The hotel has seen better days really although it wouldn't take a huge amount to return it to somewhere near its former glory. It would benefit from painting the main frontage in general (especially the upper most floors at the front) & the removal of large weeds in front of the hotel which were unsightly. Single glazed windows were not ideal & during the day there is a little noise in a sea view front room but surprisingly not much at night. To be fair the interior was being painted in certain places when we were there & this needs to continue. Overall we had a decent stay though.

Comfortable bed, excellent facilities. Coffee & tea available excellent staff.
Toilet looked clean but under the rim was disgusting. Windows needed a clean, curtains wouldn't close, not hanging properly.

Location opposite the pier.
Staff.
Car park on site £6 per 24 hours.
Brilliant breakfast, great buffet choice hot & cold.
Huge & airy dining area.
Lovely grand old lady of a hotel which is apparently going to be updated.
Great view of prom from bar.
Room windows opened-hooray!
Heated towel rail.
Plenty of storage space Shower could do with a good scrub.
Windows grubby.
Could do with more hooks & shelves like all hotel rooms.
Cheapo kettle that didn't pour properly.
Bedside lights were high up so when I read at night the light shone onto my partner's side too.
However, the good outweighed the bad.

Sea views, efficient and friendly staff
Had to close the window in my bathroom and found that the top of the sash was extremely dusty and dirty on my hands - details like this were missed in housekeeping but with so many rooms I found it minor
