Comfortable and good location.
Location and staff. Clean comfortable bedroom.
Bathroom outdated and shower had only very hot water. Discovered in morning just before checking out so too late to be fixed.

FAAAB sea views from a Seafront hotel in a great location.
The location and great, helpful and friendly staff on reception. Brilliant sea views
Some of the skirting boards in the bedroom were dirty.

Dated Accommodation
Great location in relation to other family members staying at other hotels. Breakfast was hot and there was a good selection of food.
Staff were very friendly and the ground floor, reception and bar very clean. Rooms were dated and in need of some tlc. Walls needed a good paint and general update.
The rooms were also not very clean.
Had 2 rooms and both had hairs in the bath and plughole. One.of the bathroom bins hadn't been emptied. Luckily only an empty toothpaste could be seen, but not the point.
Also a hole in the bottom sheet of one of the double beds and could also see stains on the mattress protector.

The staff are amazing. The type of staff you find in bigger hotels. They put some hotels to shame.

Eastbourne Burlington
The hotel is old so you expect a little bit needy but the windows were filthy inside and out, the carpet was stained and drap, the paintwork was peeling,we had a superior room but it was quite basic really.
The staff were friendly and that helped, the food was good but limited and serving times were bit off.

Pleasant hotel that met the purpose of staying for tennis.
Adequate room. Reasonable breakfast.
No dedicated place to put suitcase and bag as is usual in hotels. Mirror did not have light immediately above it for wet shaving well. Only got penultimate place in car park on arrival. If I had to use multi storey car park some distance away, then taking suitcase and bag into hotel would have been extremely difficult.

In need of refurbishment
Breakfast was good. Some of the staff were great, others not so good. Well placed for everything Eastbourne has to offer. Good ses viee
It's difficult with a large Victorian building that has to stand up to sea winds etc but the place is in urgent need of a makeover. Some of the areas were tired, some tatty and the former glory that the hotel probably enjoyed in its heyday has certainly faded.
