Excellent, apart from the above.
staff excellent. Room very well appointed. large shower
The bathroom could have been cleaner, around the toilet bowel rim needs cleaning and shower drainage needs a thorough cleaning.
Decided to try the evening dinner at the hotel. Fish and chips were the worst we have ever had; left most of it and sorry we had not eaten at our usual pub. So, although we would book again to stay, we will never eat there again.
Chef needs to be sorted out!!

We enjoyed our short stay and found on street parking right outside
Location great. Staff friendly. Building has a faded grandeur about it, which is both charming and has some downsides! Great 2 listed. Breakfast good. Room good and our bed and bedding good. Good tea & coffee facilities in the room . Decent value for money in tennis open week.
Cleanliness and decor not great. Carpets in particular.

Great location and parking available at a great price per night (£6 per night)
For what we paid - it met expectation. Perhaps a little warm in the bedrooms and restaurant.

Stayed in the Burlington before, but it has improved vastly since change of ownership.Very happy with everything..

That it is right opposite the beach and pier
The floorboards are very creeky so can hear people above you moveing around and also the bed was very hard. We have stayed here a few times and it was a better stay

Perfectly adequate for a one night stay on a walking holiday but nothing special.
Good view from sea facing room - noise until late evening, then quiet until breakfast time. Good location close to the pier and easy walking to most places in Eastbourne.
Our friends did not book a sea facing room. They said their view was of pigeons! So definitely book the sea facing room as long as you are not bothered by some noise until late evening. Bed adequate but quite hard. Shower over bath (with fixed screen) had a mechanism I have never seen before. Instructions would have helped - best I managed was hot water from shower and cold water from tap - probably if I had more time to try out different combinations of controls I would have got it right.
