Very cheep hotel , got allocated room 114 on 1st floor , the room was very very dated , the shower wasn't working, so we told reception , then to discover the toilet wasn't screwed down to the floor, so it wobbled whist sitting on it, then when it come to bedtime, the bed base was completely broken, so no sleep on our first night, we went to reception and told them, they sent a maintenance guy to our room , and looked at the bed, and then told us we can move to another room, which was 214 on the 2nd floor , very happy with this room , the only fault was the bathroom was freezing cold as the radiator wasn't working , but for a weekend stay or over night stay for great price . This hotel was good enough , the two staff we saw were friendly . No idea if they had a restaurant , as we wasn't offered food if we wanted breakfast or dinner? But the view we had from both rooms was lovely looking onto the pier 😀 .

Always been a nice budget hotel right on the sea front with plenty of parking with reduced tickets from your hotel.
Over the year we have visited this hotel,this year however one big complaint the toilet runs continuously hence when flushes no water.
I had reported this last year and again when we arrived this time but despite promise to fix it I ended up having to flush with bottles of water.
Pity really because the staff are good here bu y despite the hotel quite empty I would have expected toilet to be fixed. So beware and check.

Just back from a pleasant 4 night coach trip to the Afton Hotel.Top marks all round. Staff were very friendly and professional. Nice room overlooking the pier. Very happy with food which was very much to our liking. eg: Chicken/Cottage pie/ Roast Pork/ Turkey dinners.
Nice quiet area. Only 5 minutes gets you in to the start of fairly large shopping area. Beacon Centre worth a visit. Royal Hippodrome Theatre has nice shows only about 200yards away Our first visit to Eastbourne very much enjoyer

Stayed here for 2 nights to watch the tennis. A friendly hotel, perfect location and vent central, just 15 mins walk from the station, 15mins to the tennis and just a few mins to the promenade on the front. Rooms were clean, everything you need for a short break, great hairdryer (always an issue in hotels) and had the option of s fan which we took as it was warm.
Only one comment, the bathroom pullcord could do with replacing but that's it. A great stay

Pleasant stay
The view from the room was brilliant seeing the seafront and the pier so uplifting as the weather we had on our visit was exceptional.
The room was clean and tidy The room got very hot as you couldn’t open the window and access the balcony which would have been a real bonus.
