Huge beautiful garden, but the castle is closed for restoration works and available only with guided tour on a few days a week, better to check on the website. The ticket is only 8 pounds for adults and free for kids.

The castle is being renovated so couldn't see much except the library. As the buildings are used as a Canadian university, little bit of a Harry Potter vibe

Fab! Only stayed for a short time, but very impressed with the site. Right now, the front aspect is under renovation however it didn't detract for vist. Nice easy walk, probably good for buggies or those not so good with steps as ramps etc are used throughout. Cafe was open with selection of sandwiches and drinks, the staff were friendly and helpful. We will be back soon for a longer visit.

Прогулка была чудесной😀 Много зелени, виноградники, карпы в прудах.. Воздух пропитан историей, людей мало, внутрь замка мы не попали, сейчас там учатся студенты, но обязательно вернёмся, когда это станет доступным.

Visited on a sunny day so I managed to visite the grounds and circuit the castle. The building itself cannot be entered as it is owned by a Canadian University but the gardens and nearby woods and lake are enough to behold. Small cafe and toilets alongside the Castle and the nearby former Greenwich Observatory domes are visible. (This is a separate attraction). Dogs welcome. At the time the Castle entrance was being refurbished but the other sides were quite appreciable and equally impressionable. It was one of the first castles of its clay brick construction type and of the 15th century.

Lovely day out as it’s only 4 miles from us. The observatory is well worth a visit. Try to visit the castle outside of term time, otherwise it’s closed

Amazing castle and beautiful gardens (castle not open to the public) set in magnificent countryside. £8 pp entry and a lovely little restaurant with the best homemade sausage rolls.
