A lovely beach, with flat natural benches of chalk to sit on, and a typically good National Trust Tea Room with excellent cakes.
Try the walk up to Beachy Head and then get the bus back, or the other way around, parking at Beachy Head if you are a less fit walker!

Not far from Beachy Head Birling Gap is by far a more impressive sight.
The views are magnificent, you can go to the pub/cafe or climb down to the beach. You can also see the famous cottages - and look at the information boards illustrations to see how most of them have been claimed by the sea. If you want to see the practicalities of coastal errosion - this is the place to visit.
