Lovely grounds, and exceptional value if getting a Family Ticket. During pandemic the toilets are open, but no refreshments are available not even bottled water so take with you.

Peaceful formal gardens with the brick built castle and moat as a backdrop. Grass maze and small children's play area. Loved the little garden at the folly. Attractive woodland walks.

Lovely grounds & gardens, acres & acres to walk around & relax a great way to spend a day. The cafe / coffee shop greatly let it down, very disappointed with the food, expensive, not much choice, especially if you've got dietary requirements, very poor standard. Will definitely return to the castle but certainly will not use the cafe again. If the cafe had been good would have given 5 stars.

I love the castle! So beautiful and a magical place. First visited as a student 18 years ago and its basically the same wonderful as then. New climbing frame for kids is a nice touch.
