Gorgeous place outside. Entry was £5 each. It gives you access to the ground and all the gardens. You have to pay an extra £2.50 for a guided tour of the castle. There is not much to see inside as it is used as a college so all you see is converted classrooms and students walking around.<br>There is an art centre with affordable paintings from locals.<br>The cafeteria serves delicious made on the spot sandwiches.<br>Recommended.

Their website should say when the castle is closed for private functions as it was today. That said, we enjoyed the outside view and gardens. Worthwhile.
