Lovely place for a picnic in the sunshine. Castle is well worth a tour and is only a few quid just check on the website the times as only a few tours a day. Gardens are lovely and a few walks around the grounds and the woods which is nice. All in a really nice day spent here.

beautiful place... Limited disabled access due to location.. but Handrails on Stepped areas around Moat walk are terribly loose..So even those with walking aids like sticks and crutches will struggle in places. Some of the disabled wheelchair path through the Orchard to the rear of the castle is very uneven and on a slope.. so manual chairs may struggle here. Some 'gateways' to the gardens are very narrow so wheelchair users watch for those too..but much can be seen.. even with limited mobility. Also bear in mind, If you are visiting for photos of the Castle.. try and choose a quieter day when castle tours are open.. I dropped on a Wedding there and a 2 hour wait to get a shot of the front with no people lol.<br><br>Edit: Response to Owners<br><br>Many thanks for your response. The rail in question is located to the front right of the castle wheb looking at the front.. leading down to the Moats edge. It is very wobbly. Still overall a very good visit... and concessions for mobility have been made where they can be given the location and geography.

Having a wonderful time at the castle. Gardens are fantastic, as is the castle. Visitor centre and coffee shop onsite. Parking available for the castle and garden and additional parking if you're staying in the accommodation.
