We booked this shearings holiday and we got a brilliant deal .
We had a lovely twin room spotlessly clean .Plenty of tea/coffee/sugar etc.We always ask for a quiet room away from the lift and twin room with a bath. The hotels usually manage to arrange this .We went down to dinner and as usual menu the same as every Bay Hotel but its the chefs that make the difference .Our waitress was efficient and always asking if everything ok.We went into the entertainment room and loved Mark what a lovely man.Quiz Bingo singers comedians really good.Drink prices the usual.we and our friends thought this was one ,if not the best Shearings Hotel weve been too.We will be going back again and would recommend this break to everyone. definatelyf

I have just spent a Turkey and Tinsel Weekend break through Shearings at The Burlington Hotel in Eastbourne, The Hotel is very well situated on the Royal Parade nearly opposite the Pier. The staff at The Burlington are very profesional and effeciant and the food and service in the Restaurant is first class. The only down side I experineced in this Hotel was the drabness of the single room that I stayed in although I got the holiday at a last minute bargain but if I had not I would have had to complain about the condition of the room. This seems to be quite common in single rooms in Hotels which really is not very acceptable especially when single room suppliments are charged also I found that the telephone in my room only worked occasionly and also the window would not open the televisions are a little dated but thats not important to me has I dont watch that much television anyway, But all in all this Hotel isd still worth returning back to has this was my third visit

We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is well placed for public transport to get you to either Brighton or Hastings using you bus pass from a bus stop right outside the hotel.

The food is of reasonable quality for the price and the entertainment is again reasonable.

Just returned from a relaxing 4 night break at the Burlington. Although this was our first stay at a Bay Hotel we had previously stayed at a Coast & Country Hotel which is part of this same group so knew what to expect. We arrived early afternoon and was quickly checked in and made our way to the room – we didn’t go for any upgrades but the room was as expected, a good size, clean and well presented. Yes it was a bit dated especially the bathroom however we didn’t mind as it was fit for the purpose. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels etc so no problems on this front. We went half board and went down for our first meal. What is good is the allocation of tables so you had the same one for the duration of your stay. Our table was initially at the far end however a member of staff noticed my wife’s mobility issues and quickly moved us to a table by the entrance – well done Moses.

We initial thought that the meal time timings were restrictive, for example 6.30pm to 7.45pm however it was such a slick routine it worked well. The menu changed daily including a chef special and they were always something on the menu that we both wanted. A special thank you to our waiter Daniel who was continually running around serving and did an excellent job. During our stay the hotel had a Christmas and New Year theme which worked well especially for the older guests. The hotel had evening entertainment which we didn’t take part in however I know that the other residents enjoyed.

A short and relaxing break which served our purposes. Well Done.

Very large and spacious hotel, clean and bright. The Christmas decorations were lovely and really added to the festive feeling. The rooms were modern and bathroom facilities were excellent. The restaurant service was good with a wide variety of food which was always hot, more so the evening meal. The evening entertainment was very good , and Mark the compere was brilliant, only wish the music was not totally reliant on over 70's ballroom dancers. The daily trips were good, pity we did not get to see Hastings. Overall the holiday was very good.

I am glad i booked this through Late rooms . I would not want to pay the £110.00 it would have been . We were in a double room that needed updating , wallpaper coming off the walls.
The good thing about the hotel was its breakfast and the staff.

Recently returned from our stay at this hotel, the staff were very helpful and the room was clean and the only down side was that there was no shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom, other than that the food was good and the service was a little slow at times, overall a very nice hotel, would go back again if going back to Eastbourne

I've not long returned from a Shearing's w/end to Eastbourne, staying at the Burlington Hotel. When we pulled up outside, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, it makes a great statement, it's a very large, good looking building. You are not disappointed when you enter the doors, the interior décor is great too but now to the rooms, I was in room 125, on the first floor, the room was tastefully furnished with an en-suite bathroom with shower. The food was excellent and the staff couldn't do enough to be of assistance, it'd be a no brainer to say I would be more than happy to re-acquaint myself with this hotel again, another Shearing's winner......

Another lovely weekend away at the Burlington, we had a spacious and spotlessly clean room on the corner with views of both the High Street and seafront. The Christmas decorations were tasteful and very pretty, the Christmas theme of the weekend was very well done & not at all "in your face". The food, the service, the staff and the entertainment were all first class. The inside temperature was a bit overwhelming one night but was soon rectified when guests asked for this to be adjusted. The only disappointment was seeing that some fellow guests found it necessary to "reserve" a table in the ballroom by leaving drinks with a note "not to touch" while they were having dinner. Must be the Burlington equivalent of towels on sunbeds!. All in all a great weekend and excellent value.
