Was in the local area for a couple of weeks and missing my usual time with horses, so decided to go with Polegate after scouring the internet for reviews (travelling from St Leonards, train was very easy).

Did a private hack and so glad I did, the grounds and horses were beautiful and you can tell they take good care and pride in their stables, equipment etc (and looks like they're even upgrading).

Staff were very friendly and welcoming from my first impressions with them on the phone to the hack itself (Macy was lovely and we did some fun cantering through the woods 😍) and to top it all off, it was way more affordable than back at home 😅

What a refreshing experience and welcome surprise- wish my place was as great as this one! ❤️

Today was my first time back in the saddle after 15 years—and what an amazing ride it was! Huge thanks to the lovely ladies at the riding centre for making it such a welcoming and enjoyable experience. I’m already looking forward to my next visit in a few weeks. Highly recommend this beautiful place and the fantastic team behind it. Thanks again! – Jennifer

I did not visit the pier itself but I visited the pop up market on the 5/6/22, along the Eastbourne Seafront.
It was fabulous! Many different stalls with tons of varying goods to buy! There was even a "fly over" by 6 helicopters!
I loved the hustle and bustle of it all, as there was a lovely vibe shared by stall holders and visitors.
I purposely put just £20 in my purse to spend, but forgot to leave my credit card at home.(A Whoopsy)
I bought some delicious food, including home made fudge, and also a cool pair of Genie trousers and then, then, I found the ring..,(my precious)
A Solid Silver Moonstone ring, with amazing natural light.
It was far too expensive, far too much money...but it slid on my finger, as the glass slipper fitted Cinderella foot!
Clearly a sign from the God's, that this ring was for me. (Sod the Prince! I got Bling!)
I returned home feeling stuffed with great food, and this feeling was heightened when the trousers fitted and the ring gleamed! I'm so pleased I braved the crowds! Also I am Soo attending the next market.

Not bad considering it is January. Some empty shop units. Amusements were OK but only seemed to be one chap on duty. When we finally got him to open the machine to release the prize he was friendly enough though.

Arghhhh it's so lovely to walk the historic, rickety wooden pier and play the penny slots in the two arcades. What's not to love?

Went to the Tea Rooms and had a lovely piece of cake & a cuppa. The whole pier needs up-dating and looking after. Such beautiful views should be celebrated.
