Barbara and I visited the shop this morning with a view to buying a present. We were greeted by Sunny who was most welcoming and helpful in her first week in the store; we were also blessed with Alex's experience and knowledge of the business in divining and devising a solution to our search.
The upshot was that we got a beautiful pearl pendant and swapped the chain it was on show with for another which we both adored. And the item was then beautifully gift-wrapped.
The service we received was faultless and could not have been bettered. It was an absolute delight to be treated with old-fashioned family business values where both parties to the transaction feel absolutely satisfied.
This is most certainly the first port of call for all future jewellery purchases.

My husband and I visited during a day out in Eastbourne on 7th May 2025.
The service was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and fresh, and the vegetables were cooked perfectly (still crunchy, as they should be!). And there was a reasonable choice of beers (we prefer ales and IPAs) and a great choice of wines.
Perhaps slightly on the pricey side but all other boxes were ticked!
We highly recommend The Crown & Anchor! ⭐
