Lovely stay in a great location. Comfy room Room was modern and very spacious. Comfy bed and very clean. View from the room and window was rotten. Hotel is a little dated

Location was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice with a good selection of things to eat. Room was acceptable and the bed was very comfortable. Sea view was lovely 😍 The tiny lift so I used the stairs. The room was a bit too warm for my liking. The curtains were not the best fitting. Only 1 toilet roll.

Close walk to the seaside. Easy walk to town centre. The bathroom had mould around the bath.
The TV was small for the size of the room.

The sea view was wonderful. It also included a view of that wonderful English stalwart, The Pier. In this particular case, it was of course the Eastbourne Pier. And the sunsets were truly breathtaking. The hotel is redolent of the days of Queen Victoria. And, like any grand old lady, it is showing it's age, here and there. But in the most charming manner. In the particular room I stayed in, the towel rail was not on and there was no obvious way of turning it on. And it was on what was reported as one of the coldest nights here in the UK in 15years! So whilst i was able to plug in the two heaters in the bedroom as soon as you went into the bathroom it was Freezing. I reported this to the regular receptionist, and she kindly asked maintenance to come up and fix it. But for the next 2 days of my stay, the maintenance man remained a mystery. The bathroom remained an ice box. The staff in the restaurant, Natalie and Marcus.are always very nice and helpful. Which makes dining there pleasant. Also the food is consistently good and tasty.
