Been going to the social gaming Thursday on and off since December last year, it’s a really friendly atmosphere and they have a huge choice of games to choose from. The coffee is also great!

Love Dicebox. The atmosphere, customer service, drinks are all amazing. Food is pretty good for a boardgame café compared to nearly every other one I have been to. Staff are friendly and will help you out in picking games or explaining rules if you get stuck.
Great for kids during the day too!

This place is genuinely like a 2nd home for me and my friends, so much variety in the games, lovely atmosphere, staff are amazing, always warmly welcoming us when we return..it’s just AWESOME! I see a lot of people coming and going but still think it’s severely underrated, honestly a hidden gem in Eastbourne, perfect for all types/groups of people. :) 💖 Lovely selection of food and drinks to enjoy too whilst exploring the different games they have to offer!

I’ve been to Dice Box a few times now, and it’s easily one of my favourite places to visit in Eastbourne. They have an amazing selection of board games, with something to suit all ages, group sizes, and experience levels. Whether you’re looking for a quick, easy game or something more strategic, there’s always plenty to choose from, and I find myself discovering new games every time I visit.
One of the best things about Dice Box is the staff. They’re always so friendly, welcoming, and passionate about board games. If you’re unsure what to play, they’ll happily recommend games based on what you’re looking for, and they’ll explain the rules clearly so you can get started without spending ages reading the instructions. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble.
The atmosphere is always relaxed, cosy, and welcoming, making it a brilliant place to spend a few hours with friends, family, or even on a date. It’s somewhere you can easily lose track of time because you’re having so much fun.
If you’re thinking about visiting but want to see what it’s like first, I’d definitely recommend checking out their TikTok account, @thediceboxeastbourne. They regularly post videos showcasing some of the games they have available, which is a great way to get a feel for what they offer.
I couldn’t recommend Dice Box enough. Whether you’re a board game enthusiast or you’ve never played anything beyond the classics, it’s such a fun and welcoming place, and I always look forward to my next visit.

A fantastic place with such a welcoming atmosphere. Rachael and Stuart are friendly, lovely, approachable, and always make everyone feel at home.
The food is comforting, there's a good selection of drinks, and the huge board game library has something for everyone. Heavy Wednesdays are especially brilliant—they teach new games and make even the more complex ones easy to get into 🙂
A fun place to spend relaxing time, whether you're new to board games or a seasoned player. I've been visiting whenever I can since they opened, and I can't recommend it enough. 🙂

The Dice Box is one of my favourite places in Eastbourne! Perfectly located in the centre of Eastbourne, it's the perfect place if you like board games. They have over 500, of all types and difficulties. It is honestly impressive, you can always find something new to play! It does not matter if you are a casual player, very experienced, how old you are or what type of game you like, you will find something to enjoy, and someone there to help you if you don't know where to start from. Stuart and Rachael, who run it, are lovely and super helpful—the perfect people for this kind of place, as they give The Dice Box its soul. They also offer events to learn to play certain board games, or to meet other people and play board games with them. Being a board game lover, I was super excited when I saw in the local news over a year ago that Eastbourne was going to have a board game cafe, and the Dice Box has definitely exceeded my expectations! I feel so fortunate to have something like this in Eastbourne and have been a regular customer pretty much since it opened!
