Mayfield Bonfire Celebrations bring three torchlit processions through the village, followed by the bonfire and fireworks at Court Meadow.
The evening includes music and refreshments in the High Street, a commemoration at the War Memorial, and three processions. The first procession begins at 7.15pm, followed by the second at 8.15pm and the Grand Procession at 9.15pm. The bonfire is expected to be lit at around 9.45pm, with fireworks at approximately 10pm.
Mayfield Bonfire Society says its procession stretches for more than a mile and includes around 5,000 burning torches. The annual celebration is organised by the volunteer-run society and attracts thousands of people into the village.
Visitors should allow extra time for travel and parking. Road closures begin from 5.45pm, with restrictions affecting much of the village centre.
