Step into Hailsham’s past with fascinating local artefacts, historic photographs, wartime memorabilia and displays about the town’s history.

Hailsham Heritage Centre & Museum offers a fascinating look at the history of Hailsham and the surrounding area.

The collection includes a recreated period kitchen, farming and agricultural displays, local artefacts, photographs from the 19th and 20th centuries and wartime memorabilia.

The museum is managed by volunteers from the Hailsham Historical & Natural History Society, who continue to develop and update the displays and preserve material relating to Hailsham, Hellingly and surrounding villages.

Admission is free.

The museum can be found in Blackman’s Yard, behind the Town Council offices in Market Street. The entrance to Blackman’s Yard is between Kemer Kebab and the former Lloyds Bank building.
