Hailsham Bonfire Society brings the Sussex Bonfire tradition into the heart of the town with a torchlit procession through the High Street and a fireworks finale at Western Road Recreation Ground.
The society expects visiting bonfire societies and bands to join the procession, creating one of the busiest nights in Hailsham’s annual events calendar. Last year’s celebration attracted a record number of visitors, with 17 visiting societies and four bands taking part.
The 2026 event will also support two chosen charities through street collections: Out Of The Blue and the Hailsham branch of Parkinson’s UK.
Further procession route details and individual timings are still due to be published by the society, so visitors should check local travel arrangements nearer the time and allow extra time for road restrictions around the town centre.
