Fletching Bonfire Night returns in September 2026 with a traditional Sussex torchlit procession, bonfire and pyromusical fireworks display.
The evening begins with the torchlit procession through Fletching, bringing together members of Fletching Bonfire Society and visiting Sussex bonfire societies.
The bonfire is scheduled for 9pm, followed by the grand pyromusical fireworks display from 9.30pm.
Fletching Bonfire Society is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation which raises money for local charities while helping to keep the traditions of Sussex Bonfire alive. The society says the annual celebrations cost more than £12,000 to stage, covering areas including insurance, marshals, security, facilities, bands and fireworks.

Fletching Bonfire Society has confirmed that the event is currently scheduled to go ahead on Saturday 12 September 2026. However, because of exceptionally dry conditions, the committee is continuing to monitor the weather, ground conditions and wider situation before making a final decision on whether it is safe for the event to proceed.
