It’s a place where new friendships are forged, where guests become volunteers, where new people feel valued and where communities come together to improve the lives of everyone. It is free to everyone and offers refreshments and biscuits in the summer and hot soup and a roll in the colder months.
Local supermarkets donate food which is good but they can't sell and would otherwise dispose of. This varies but includes bread, rolls, cakes, fruit and veg etc and is free to take, although a donation to the Centre is awlays welcome.
Occasionally we invite speakers or professional support organisations to come and offer advice whether it’s about avoiding scammers or the winter fuel crisis.
