This is a treat for those who enjoy both art and gardens, as Liddy and Abi Davidson open their ornamental garden in Meads where they will also be displaying artwork and offering pieces they have created for sale.
They describe the garden as being for ‘all seasons’, on a south-facing chalk slope of the South Downs. Plants are chosen for their vibrant colour, varied form and ability to cope with hot sun, big winds and heavy rain!
Please do visit this garden to see its beauty and that of the Davidsons’ artworks. Guests are advised to park in the main part of Rochester Close, taking care to avoid driveways. The walk to the house is up a steep slope and then there are 12 steep steps to gain access to the garden. The garden is on a slope with several steps inside. We regret that the garden is unsuitable for wheelchairs or people with disabilities.
There will be a card machine available for art work sales, but due to unreliable reception please try to bring cash. 10% of any sales will go to the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital. We wish Liddy and Abi Davidson every success on the day and thank them very much for their support.
