Now in its 25th year, Eastbourne Youth Radio provides pupils from primary and secondary schools, as well as colleges, with the opportunity to plan, produce and present professional-quality radio programmes. Broadcasting live on FM and online from East Sussex College, the project creates hours of original content including interviews, news features, music shows and discussions on topics that matter to young people.
For teachers, it offers a practical way to link classroom learning with real-world communication and media skills. For parents, itβs a chance to see confidence grow as students collaborate, lead and think creatively. Supported by local businesses and community organisations, Eastbourne Youth Radio helps young people connect with the wider community.
