Eastbourne Rovers was founded in 1894, initially as a Cycling and Athletic Club. The first athletic meetings were held at Devonshire Park, Eastbourne, but in 1952 the Club moved to The Oval, Princes Park, when the new “cinder” track, with grass cycling track around the outside, was opened. In 1999, we moved to our current home at Eastbourne Sports Park.

The aim of the Club is to provide athletic competition, coaching and training to its members, and to expand the athletic opportunities in the community, with Membership open to everybody aged 9 and upward.

ERAC Club members have exclusive use of the all weather floodlit track at Eastbourne Sports Park between 5.30 and 7.30 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings throughout the year for training and coaching sessions. In addition to general sessions for younger athletes, there are specialised training groups for sprinting, middle distance and road/cross country running. There is also a jogging group aimed at parents wanting to keep fit while their children train. The training sessions are all led by qualified and CRB checked coaches.

Access to all club sessions and participation in individual and group coaching is included in the annual membership subscription. There is no additional entry or coaching fees.
