Bringing musicians and audiences together through live orchestral music, Eastbourne Concert Orchestra is a friendly community orchestra performing three seasonal concerts each year. With opportunities to attend performances, play alongside fellow musicians or support the orchestra, it has been part of Eastbourne's musical life since 1951.

🎻 What to expect

  • Three public concerts each year, including spring, summer and Christmas performances.

  • A varied repertoire of classical works, orchestral favourites and themed programmes.

  • Regular Tuesday evening rehearsals during term time at All Saints' Church in Eastbourne.

  • Opportunities for musicians playing at approximately Grade 6 standard or above to join the orchestra.

  • Ways to get involved as a volunteer or become a Friend of the Orchestra to support its performances.

Founded as the Eastbourne Orchestral Society in 1951, the orchestra has brought local musicians together for more than 75 years. Today, Eastbourne Concert Orchestra continues that tradition through rehearsals, public performances and opportunities for people across the community to enjoy and support live orchestral music.
