Whether you're learning chess for the first time or looking for competitive matches, Eastbourne Chess Club welcomes players of all abilities. Meeting every Friday evening, the club offers friendly games, junior coaching, internal tournaments and opportunities to compete in the Sussex Chess League.

Established in 1880, Eastbourne Chess Club has a long history of bringing local chess enthusiasts together. The club meets at Lion Works, sharing premises with Eastbourne Bridge Club, and welcomes newcomers who want to learn, improve or enjoy playing chess with others.
