Since opening our students’ examination results have risen to their highest ever levels (Summer 2016) and The Academy enjoys an excellent reputation for exemplary behaviour and outstanding student leadership.
We combine traditional values (we expect every child to “Learn, Engage and Respect”) with cutting edge technology. Every Academy student has the privilege of using an iPad in lessons and to support home study, and our whole school site was rebuilt or refurbished just three years’ ago. Our motto is “Your future at your fingertips” and our digital technologies make this literally true.
Our students make excellent progress in their studies, and our relatively small size (just over 600 students) means we all know each other well and the students are supported and challenged to achieve their best. Class sizes are small and facilities are excellent, with an exciting and extensive range of extra-curricular clubs, trips and activities.
Members of staff choose to send their own children to this Academy and we warmly invite you to come and meet us on a visit.
