Went to the Dicebox with some friends and we had a great time. The atmosphere was great and the staff were lovely. Good selection of games and great drinks and food. Would definitely recommend if you’re in Eastbourne!

I've been coming to the Dice Box pretty much every week since it opened and it's amazing! Stuart and Rachel who run the place are lovely, and are always there to explain the games or give recommendations. The social gaming nights on Thursdays have been a great way to meet new people and make friends. If you're looking for a fun and welcoming space to spend your free time, this is it! Highly recommend 😃

Dice Box is fantastic! Can’t beat being surrounded by board games; good food - and really friendly & helpful staff - very helpful when you’re overwhelmed by the choice of games!

Lovely. Took my 2 young boys here. Staff were really great recommending games and helping with the rules when needed. Food nothing extravagant but good quality and suitable for picky kids. Great selection of games. Well stocked shop downstairs too. Reasonable prices. 2.5hrs of quality family time during a trip to Eastbourne.

Great evening playing games as a family! Tasty snacks and refreshments! Loved the milkshakes! Ellie and Stuart were very helpful explaining the rules and very friendly and welcoming!

Me and three others stayed there for several hours. We were served quickly and left to ourselves to pick out a game and figure it out, but I could tell the friendly staff were willing to help if need be.
Food and drinks were great. Got a new loyalty card nearly full with stamps from just our first visit.
Very much look forward to next visit!

TLDR: Excellent place for friends or families to play new board games and have a coffee, really not so good if you want good food too.

I've been to the Dice Box a few times and the staff have always been really lovely and helpful. They've helped my friend and I find games to suit us and explained how to play them as well if we had any questions.
The drinks I've had here have been really good - I've had a couple of the milkshakes and they've always been really tasty.
The food, however, is incredibly disappointing, particularly for the price. It's £12.50 for one of the burgers which comes with chips - the burger honestly tastes frozen and airfried, same with the chips. A few weeks ago my friend ordered a 'small plate' which is £4 and ordered chicken goujons and we only got 3 goujons, and they really weren't particularly good. Another time I got the pizza and, once again, it was just a frozen pizza reheated and sold for far more than it was worth.
Absolutely nothing against the staff at the cafe, they're all really lovely and I appreciate that they probably just get sent their stock and certain instructions on how to serve the food. It's just disappointing that the food feels expensive, especially when there is a pub close by that costs £13 for a really good, fresh made burger. 50p extra for a significantly better meal.
Now, if I ever visit, I'm much more likely to eat before or after and just pay the £2.50 an hour to play games with my friend.

Just spent a lovely couple of hours playing at Dice Box. Such a fantastic range of games -from classics, new ones easy to pick up, ones for children and families, ones for grown -ups. Delicious drinks and amazing snack options.
Huge shout out to lovely Lyra, who offered support to us as we tried a new game and could pick the perfect games for all customers based on their interests. No question too silly and support given quicker than we could Google!!

What a great experience! An excellent way to spend a few hours, comfy and cosy atmosphere, friendly staff that are there to help whilst giving you space to explore the hundreds of games - a lovely and affordable afternoon. The milkshakes are amazing and the food was great too!

What a great night- lovely friendly staff, warm and relaxed atmosphere and a brilliant selection of games. We were there for four hours and could have stayed for four more. Kids did not look at their phones once while we were there. Definitely will be going back on a regular basis.

This is a great new board game cafe in central Eastbourne. Prices are reasonable and the food was good value. Good range of games to play and the tables and furnishings are new.

Really great space with lots of games to try. I was able to try lots of games I had seen online but wasn't sure about purchasing. Plus lots of games I hadn't heard of. Menu had clear allergen information which is great.

I booked for 5 twelve year old boys for my sons birthday and had a separate booth for my older son,myself and a friend. We all had a lovely time, boys had milkshakes,played a few games. The staff were very accommodating and recommended great games. Thank you.
